History of the Bicycle Museum

When the weather gets nice, bicycle lovers and curiosity seekers are sure to enjoy a visit to the Bicycle Museum. It's located in Moret-sur-Loing, in Seine-et-Marne. The Bicycle Museum is naturally situated in the former Prugnat bicycle parts factory.

Here, the Bicycle Museum tells the entire story of the bicycle, from 1817 to the present. Visitors will notably discover magnificent 19th-century velocipedes. Rare and unique pieces are placed alongside images from the first Tour de France races. Self-guided and guided tours are available. Children can be accompanied by Tom and Lola, mascots who playfully guide them throughout this realm of the two-wheeled vehicle.

It's located on the banks of the Canal du Loing, where you can walk or bicycle, and enjoy many marked hiking trails. It's a great opportunity to spend some green time less than an hour from Paris.
