The garden of plants and its thousand walks

In this garden there are numerous plant areas, which are laid out as more wild, and this has been the case for four hundred years since the place was opened to the public.

The visit begins with the Perspective Squares which are, in fact ... rectangular and offer a breathtaking view of the gallery of the National Museum of Natural History, or the large greenhouses. The visit can be more intimate by the iris and perennial garden, romantic in the rose garden. The alpine garden and its varieties of plants invite you to discover. At the exit, the visitor is rewarded with a visit to one of the oldest metal constructions in the world, the gazebo of Buffon.

The Jardin des Plantes has retained its educational vocation, between the school garden of botany, the vegetable patch and an organic garden.

Visitors can take advantage of guided tours as well as thematic routes, from "Treasure hunts in the Alpine Garden" to "Tree Tales", including an "Escapade en Orient".
