Centre Pompidou

Whether it is the forecourt, the building itself, the permanent collections or its temporary exhibits, the whole site is a veritable spectacle. The very original architecture of the centre, which is often called the Beaubourg Centre, has led it to be compared to an oil refinery or a gasworks. With 45,000 works covering the period from the early 20th century to the modern day, the Musée National d’art Moderne (National Museum of Modern Art) houses the largest collection of its kind in the whole of Europe. Fauvism, Cubism, Futurism and Pop Art all come together to form a fabulously rich panorama.

Be sure not to miss the moving reconstitution of l’Atelier de Brancusi (Brancusi's workshop) in front of the building.
