The building was designed by the architect Jean Nouvel. It resembles a long footbridge running between the trees. This new museum is an ineustible source of discovery for the arts and civilisations of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. |

A number of pathways and junctions create zones where the civilisations come together around a number of clearly defined themes. Each year, around ten temporary exhibitions will complement the permanent collections. |
